Why should I hire unbridled professional hair and makeup artists for my wedding?
Our professional artists have experience working with various skin tones and hair types, ensuring you look your best on your special day. We understand how makeup and hairstyles translate in different lighting and photography. There is a fine art to uniting wedding makeup and photography makeup to create the perfect look that last!
How far in advance should I book a hair and makeup artist?
It's recommended to book your artist 8-12 months ahead of your wedding date. This allows for availability and ample time to discuss your preferences and book your trial.
What is a trial and is it necessary?
A trial run involves a pre-wedding makeup and hair session to finalize your look. It's highly recommended to ensure you and the artist are on the same page, and to make any adjustments if needed.
What should I bring to my trial?
Make sure to have your hair and makeup inspiration photos and any accessories you plan to wear. This helps the artist understand your vision and tailor the look accordingly.
How do I communicate my preferences to the artist?
Be clear and specific about your preferences. We will always try our best to understand the look you want or even help you determine what that is if you are unsure. An open dialogue ensures the artist can create a look that aligns with your vision.
What products do you use, and do you accommodate allergies/sensitivities?
Ask us about the products our artists use, especially if you have allergies or sensitivities. We will always be willing to work with your needs and provide suitable products.
Can the artist work with different skin tones and hair types?
Each of our professionally trained makeup artist have experience in a wide ranges of skin tones and hair types. If there are any concerns, it is best to reach out and we can make sure you are matched to the best suited artist.
Who will be my hair stylist and makeup artist?
Each on elf our team stylist have a separate portfolio page found on our instagram page. I you would like to request a certain artist please make note of this in your inquiry. If no artist is requested, you will be matched with an artist we feel best suits your personal style and vision on your wedding day.
How long will the hair and makeup process take on the wedding day?
An estimated time of 1 hour is required for each hair and makeup. This will ensure we have enough time to consult with each client and have a buffer for any delays. A timeline will be created for you and sent out roughly 1 month before the wedding. If you require this sooner, please reach out and we will be happy to send it sooner.
Do I have to have a trial, can I opt out and will that change the price?
Although we understand weddings must have set budgets and cutting cost where you can is important, however we feel a trial is necessary not only for you, but for our artist to truly understand you, your personal style and specific needs. Often times we come in with a specific look in mind and realize after it just isn’t right for us. A trial ensures there is no stress the day of and you know exactly what you are getting.
Will the hair and makeup last throughout the day?
All our stylist use water proof and water resistant products combined with the experience and skills our artist have, will ensure a long lasting finish. You will receive a touch-up kit on your wedding day to re-apply your lip colour among other handy tools.
Pricing & Contracts
What are your rates and what do they include?
All of our prices can be found on our “Service Page” in addition you may see these fees on your customized quote: fuel fee ( .75 per kilometre, accommodations for anywhere 2 hours from Comox Valley, ferry fees and our standard 20% gratuity for our artist. Make sure to fill out your questionnaire to receive a detailed quote for your big day.
Do you have a contract?
A contract protects both you and us. To secure your booking you will need to accept your quote and complete your deposit/retainer of 50% of the quote total. All of this information will be included in an email that’s included with your quote.
When is the payment due?
No booking is secured with out your retainer (50% of the total quote). The balance is due the Monday before your wedding. A payment schedule and options to pay will be available in your client portal.
What is your cancellation policy?
All secured bookings are non refundable. If you choose to cancel, move or for any reason not continue with us, your contract will be void and no refunds will be returned.
